Dogs come in various sizes, such as a toy, small, medium, large, or giant. Weight is probably the deciding factor but height also counts.
The AKC’s Toy Group consists only of very small dogs. Other dog groups may have dogs of various sizes. For instance, the Dachshund, a small dog, and the Borzoi, a large to a giant dog, are in the Hound Group.
